About Nantwich Concert Band

Nantwich Concert Band (NCB) is a vibrant, welcoming amateur ensemble of brass, woodwind and percussion players from Nantwich and the surrounding area. Established in 1983, we are proud of our long history of bringing music to our local community — from formal concerts to lively outdoor performances.

Under the direction of our Musical Director, Nick Birch, the band enjoys a broad and growing repertoire that spans traditional wind band classics, modern favourites, film and stage music, and seasonal repertoire for all ages and tastes.

We perform regularly throughout the year — at concerts, community events such as the Nantwich Food Festival and in Nantwich Town Square, as well as seasonal favourites at Christmas.

A Band for Everyone

NCB is more than a band — we’re a community. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are returning after a break, you’ll find a friendly and supportive environment here. We don’t require auditions, though we recommend a minimum playing standard equivalent to around Grade 3–4.

We rehearse every Wednesday evening at Highfields Academy, Nantwich, and we’re always delighted to welcome new faces.
